What a rough few days we've all had here in New England. We had no power for 24 hours, and luckily, it was the start of the weekend, so DH was home by noon on Friday and we spent the afternoon doing errands and stopping at Applebees for supper. We only had a few hours of darkness Friday night before the power finally came back on.
Nicole and her family were not as lucky, however. Power went out during the night Thursday and didn't come back on until a few hours ago (Sun.am). So, we had the pleasure of their company for 2 days, which was delightful. Thank goodness we have enough room for everyone.
Checked on Dave and Kim, and the kids and they were fine, no loss of power down in CT.; as well as Celeste and Derek in MA. - no loss there either.
So, as of Sunday morning, Feb. 28, everyone is fine, and back home. Please pray we have no more snow, (lol), and definitely no more loss of power.
I thought I would begin my new Blog (all new to me), with what I'm up to right now. As most of you know, my shop on etsy, http://www.handstosew.etsy.com/ is doing pretty well. It's like anything else - when it rains, it pours, but in between - nothing. I'll get no orders for 2 weeks, then I'll get 5 or 6 in the same week! Crazy, but I love it.
So, to get back to my Blog, my reason behind all this I guess, is to treat it like a Journal. I can certainly type much faster than I can write, and I am more likely to come to the computer than go to a hand-written journal. I should have been keeping a journal all these years, but better late than never.
