Spring is Finally Here

After a very long, hibernating type of winter, we're finally here - spring, and summer not far behind.   We are one season closer to the wedding.  July 24 will be here before you know it.  Celeste and Derek (just fresh from a quick trip to the Bahamas), have a few more details to work out, and then it's smooth sailing from there.
Spent Easter in Connecticut with David, Kim and the kids.  What a beautiful day it was, and we did get to see Sydney enjoying her first Horseback Riding Lesson.  What an absolute natural she is.  It will be fun to watch her grow and become an official Horsewoman!
Noah has matured so much since we last saw him - he's actually spelling words.  I do think he's actually liking school these days.
Decided to downsize my Sewing Room, to prepare for the future.  Hubby is retiring in December and I need to be prepared for a potential move.  It will take me the full 9 months  to de-clutter.  Have already started listing some of my dolls and stuff on ebay.  I need to anticipate a smaller room for my stuff - keeping only what I need to.  I seem to have enough fabric to fill a small fabric shop - help!
Bought Hannah a new sewing machine for her 9th birthday.  I can't wait to see how easily she adjusts to it.  She's so used to sewing on mine (Viking), I don't know how she will feel going down a few steps to a Singer.  Don't get me wrong, I had a Singer for  34 years, and it served me extremely well. (I even upgraded 3 times along the way).
So, those of you reading this, if a 9 year old girl (she actually started sewing when she was barely 7), can sew, so can anyone - don't put it off any more.  GO to your favorite sewing center and sign up for classes, or check out the Community College classes, or even find a private teacher (that's how I started when I was 12).  There is nothing in the world I would rather do (besides being with my family of course), than siting by the window of my sewing room,  and sewing all day - especially when it's raining.  It's like I was born to do this.
I now have 45 items listed in my Etsy shop, the most I've ever had.  Now, if it would only get a little busier...................
